From the first beats of their energetic opening dance routine involving all 700 students, it was obvious to me that the girls at Mercy High in Middletown CT form an unusually gifted and spirited student body. I had the privilege on March 11th of exploring with them the "Spirituality of Welcome" during their annual retreat day and then showing slides of Mercy Beyond Borders' work in Sudan. Their response was immediate--a generous collection of $533 for St Bakhita School with the promise of more to come!
