Because of you, girls in South Sudan, Haiti, Malawi, and refugee communities in Uganda and Kenya are staying in school—and thriving.

She fled a forced marriage, risking everything to escape a future she did not choose.
Now, with a pen in hand, Susan learns how to write her name for the first time. She lives year-round at the only all-girl primary school in South Sudan with more than 1,000 other girls who are growing, learning, and dreaming in a place of protection.
Susan’s story is just beginning — thank you for keeping her next chapter alive.
Their Stories Continue—Because of You
Rebecca grew up in a refugee camp in Kenya, where no one in her family had ever gone to school. With the help of donors like you, she graduated high school in the top 10 of her class. She dreams of working in healthcare, and your year-end gift has helped secure her path toward university. What once felt like a cliffhanger is now a turning point—your goodness is carrying her story forward toward a future once thought impossible.
In a rural village in Malawi, Caroline was the only girl from her class to make it to high school. All of her agemates are already married with children, mocking her for being “late” in choosing education over marriage. Now at university, her grades have been affected by the weight of caring for her ailing grandmother, the only family she has. Each visit home means walking miles along railroad tracks with steep ravines on either side—a difficult journey as demanding as the path she is navigating. Because of you, Caroline’s education is still within reach. Your year-end gift is ensuring she can continue her studies and pursue the future she has fought so hard to claim.
Across Haiti, South Sudan, Malawi, Uganda, and Kenya, MBB Scholars and Alumnae are turning their education into leadership, service, and change for their communities. With knowledge, integrity and compassion, they mentor younger students, serve as role models, and stand up for the rights of others. Thank you for helping the ripple grow—so more young women can rise, lead, and lift those around them.
